Our Kubota KX163-5 excavator is one of our most important tools for regenerating the land. Next season it will dig a pond and swales, pull out acacia roots, shape the land for erosion control and move stone for our drystone walls. We’re looking for an experienced operator who works carefully on slopes and around people, and who can help us plan the earthworks. You’ll work closely with the landscape team and handle daily checks and basic maintenance on the machine.
Requirements:
Real experience operating excavators on slopes, ideally in the 5–8 ton class. Comfortable doing daily checks and basic maintenance. An operator certificate is a plus. Bonus: experience building ponds or swales, and welding skills.
Time Commitment:
Period 1: End of March to end of June 2027
Period 2: Start of July to end of October 2027
Minimum stay: One full period.
