Project Kamp is an open-source non-profit researching and sharing ways of living more sustainably, run by Project Kamp Associação, a non-profit association registered in Portugal.

These are the rules for using our website, projectkamp.com. By using the site, you agree to them.

2. What these terms cover

These terms are only for the projectkamp.com website: where you can read our content, donate, and send us a message.

Other parts of Project Kamp have their own separate terms:

• The community platform (community.projectkamp.com), where you can create an account, is run by One Army under its own terms.

• If you support us on Patreon, Patreon's own terms apply there.

You can't create an account or buy anything on this website, it's for reading, donating, and getting in touch.

3. Using the site

Please use the site fairly and lawfully. When you send us a message, keep it respectful and don't send anything illegal, abusive, or misleading.

4. Open-source content

Project Kamp is built on the idea that knowledge should be free and shared.

• The knowledge and content on this site (guides, articles, videos and images we publish) is open source, shared under a Creative Commons licence. You're welcome to use and build on it, with credit.

• Please don't copy the whole site. The knowledge is open to use and share with credit, but please don't copy or scrape the whole site wholesale. Take what's useful, don't clone it.

• Names and logos are different. The content is open, but the "Project Kamp" name and logo are not. Please don't copy or use them to present yourself as us, or to suggest we endorse you, without permission.

5. Donations

You can donate on this site to support our work. Donations are handled by our donation provider, and your card details go straight to them, we never see or store them.

If you choose to become a recurring member, that's covered by our separate Membership Terms.

6. The information is provided "as is"

We share our content freely and do our best to keep it accurate, but we can't promise it's complete, up to date, or right for your situation.

Please take care with our guides and experiments. Building structures, working with tools, wood, fire, electricity, water and gas systems, and living off-grid all carry real risks. Our guides are a starting point, not professional, engineering, or safety advice. You're responsible for working safely, following local rules and building regulations, and getting proper help where needed. We can't be held responsible for any loss, injury, or damage from using our content or the site.

7. Links to other sites

Our site links to other websites we don't control. We're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, have a look at their terms when you visit them.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make an important change, we'll post the new version here. If you keep using the site after that, you're agreeing to the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes go to the competent court in Portugal. If you're a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protections of the law in your own country.
